2.0 out of 5 stars not for the novice, October 27, 1999
Que provides a reasonably concise outline of HTML programming in a logical and readble format. But it's probably not possible to learn how to create a satisfactory web page from this book, contray to the book's premise. And even the experienced user will not read this book in 10 minutes, for goodness sake!

If you are experienced with earlier versions of HTML and need a quick outline of version 4, this book probably is insufficient -- it simply lacks the detail I would guess you will need. If you are a novice, don't even pick up this one -- get Sams Teach Yourself HTML 4 in 24 hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book for HTML beginners, September 27, 1998
By A Customer
Before I bought this book I didn't know anything about HTML. Nada period. I didn't know anything about programming, just how to write letters using word. Once I started reading this book, I realized how easy HTML really is. Some chapters will take more of 10 minutes, but sometimes you wish the author would expand more in other chapters. Sometimes it can get boring too. But in overall, I would strongly recommend this book for beginners who want quick results.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book, specially for newbies, July 16, 2000
By Zeeshan Zia (Karachi, Pakistan) - See all my reviews
I don't know, how could anyone rate this book with a single star. This is a really great book. It tells you about everything you need to know. I am a programmer (C/C++/Assembly), and I wanted to create a nice site to advertise my programs. This book is a must BUY. I also love the fact, that it is very thin, and that the chapters can really be completed in ten or twenty minutes. This book is definitely a must buy for the novice...It gets you on the right track, afterwards, getting practical tips is as easy as browser the web and viewing the HTML SOURCE of all coool things you find on the web. BUY THIS BOOK if you want to learn HTML. Great Great Book...
