G'Kar writes the declaration of principals for the new Alliance. However, no one seems willing to sign it. Meanwhile, a Ranger arrives at the station badly injured, carrying a SOS from a distant planet. Telepath Lyta Alexander enters the dying man's mind in order to find out the truth and sees him as he crosses over. This brings back memories, and we find out an interesting point of Bester's past: too many deathbed scans... Meanwhile, the SOS from that planet gives Sheridan a chance to prove that the Alliance is more than words, as he launches the White star fleet to aid those in need. And from the background, Byron's telepaths assist the new alliance in an unexpected way and Lyta finds in them a family she has long lost. A VIEW FROM THE GALLERY. We have met the station's warriors and spiritual leaders. Now we meet the worker cast, through a day in the life of Mack and Bo, two "on call" maintenance techs. They walk around the station fixing things others break, while outside the battle between the Alliance and a new alien fleet rages. A very entertaining episode, filled with moments of humor, starfight, sorrow and glory.  Comment | Permalink | Was this review helpful to you? (Report this)   Two Very Good Babylon 5 Season 5 Episodes, August 21, 2001 By  John Kwok (New York, NY) - See all my reviews       Although both episodes are not nearly as well written as the final episodes of Babylon 5, they are still worth watching. In "Paragon of Animals" G'Kar (Andreas Katsulas) finishes writing the Interstellar Alliance's Declaration of Principles. Meanwhile a dying Ranger arrives at Babylon 5, with a plea for help from the peaceful Enfili on the edge of Drazi space; helpless victims of attacks from mysterious raiders. President Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) sends the White Star fleet to protect the Enfili's planet. This has some unexpected benefits for G'Kar's Declaration. Garibaldi (Jerry Doyle) enlists Lyta's (Patricia Tallman) aid in convincing Byron (Robin Atkin Downes) and his rogue telepath colony to conduct covert intelligence on behalf of Garibaldi and Sheridan. In "A View from the Gallery" we get a unique perspective on Babylon 5's diplomats and command crew from two maintenance technicians who witness important decisions being made as the station is attacked by a mysterious alien fleet.  Comment | Permalink | Was this review helpful to you? (Report this)   7 of 9 people found the following review helpful: Important info about the volume number listed., July 8, 1999 By A Customer If your a Babylon 5 fan, you know that season 5 didn't really live up to its promise - it just tied up a lot of loose ends in the plot! You also know that you will want to buy this video, just like you're buying all of the rest. Ah well, at least we B5 fans aren't sitting around with plastic "Spock" ears on, yet! (Although, I wonder how many are draping blankets over their shoulders and pretending to be Marcus? A little role playing never hurt anyone!) This is a typical episode from the 5th season, but be aware, Amazon's listing is incorrect! This is actually vol. 3 from the fifth season ("In the Beginning" is vol. 1 & "No Compromises"/"The Very Long Night ..." is vol. 2). Other than that, you already know what you're getting if you are looking at B5 titles so, enjoy!
