Book provides good insight into Othoman controlled Jerusalem and surrounding areas during the seventeenth century. Two things to note however: Writer does not give enough emphasis to the role of Islam and its effect on people's lives in that era; in addition, having Arabic as mother tongue myself, I couldn't decipher some of the transliterated terms found in the book.
