The home is a key aspect of society and the widespread use of computers and other information appliances is transforming the way in which we live, work and communicate in the information age. Andy Sloane is head of the CoNTACT research group at the University of Wolverhampton's School of Computing and IT in the UK. Felix van Rijn is affiliated with the Amsterdam Faculty of Education (EFA) as policy advisor on Education and ICT.
