4.0 out of 5 stars A good overview of birmans, August 14, 2000
By A Customer
What I liked most about this book is all the glossy pictures, there is at least one on every page. The pictures are mostly of kittens but some adults as well. I'd recommend this book as a good summary of the birman and cats in general, especially if your considering getting a birman and never had a cat before.

The book is not that long and you can probably read it in less than an hour. It covers the basics of the birman legend, character, breed standard and general cat care and health. If you want more in depth information then you would probably need to supplement it with a more detailed cat guide. I would also have liked more description and pictures of the newer birman colors, which it didn't cover.

So, in summary, great introductory book for the new birman owner, escpecially for the price.
