2.0 out of 5 stars Very outdated science book, January 12, 2009
Unfortunately, I am sending this book back. I bought it as a part of our homeschool curriculum, but the book is very outdated. Published in 2007, strange. Many everyday things have changed in the last 20 years - not many families even own 35mm film cameras anymore.... Tape players, old fashion telephones, older cook tops, refrigerators... The pictures are very outdated, too.
This book is great if you want to see how things USED to look and work. It can be nice and educational.
But it is too confusing for a child to be his FIRST science book, because he can not relate to these "everyday" things.
