Product Description
Gemologist Andrea Adams is suffering a bad case of burnout at her plum job in the New York Diamond District. So she swaps the Big Apple for Louisville, Kentucky, and joins the S.T.U.D. television shopping network as its newest host. When she's paired up with a hunky but clueless Ken doll of a cohost, Andrea wonders if she made the right move. Top it all off with foul play, a trip to Myanmar, and lots and lots of rubies, and you've got a story any woman would like to read. This exciting and fast-paced novel kicks off Ginny Aiken's Shop-Til-U-Drop Collection.

From the Back Cover
She Thought She Was Leaving the Rat Race Behind... Gemologist Andie Adams is suffering a bad case of burnout in her stress-filled job in New York. So she jumps at the chance to ditch her wormy corner of the Big Apple for a home in Kentucky with her lovable but off-the-wall Aunt Weeby. After all, things should be slower paced in Kentucky--right? Wrong. Andie reluctantly joins the Shop-Til-U-Drop Network as its newest jewelry and gemstone show host. Sparks fly between her and the know-nothing (but drop-dead gorgeous) jock they've hired as her cohost. And when Andie's job exposes her to a international investigation, the mayhem escalates during an exotic journey. Explosions, missing gems, sabotage--life was never this exciting in New York! Former newspaper reporter Ginny Aiken discovered books at a very early age, writing her first novel at age fifteen. She is the author of the Silver Hills Trilogy and the Deadly Décor Mysteries. A frequent speaker at women's events and writers' conferences, Ginny lives with her husband and four sons in Pennsylvania.

3.0 out of 5 stars A quick read that's fun, October 30, 2007
Priced to Move is a G-rated Chick Lit, which typically means it leans more heavily on dialogue than plot to carry the story. Also woven in are a sprinkling of humor and a dab of cozy mystery for good measure.

The heroine, Andie Adams, is a highly skilled and respected gemologist who is burnt out with the stringent demands of her New York City job and subsequent lack of a personal life. Nursing three ulcers, her reward for such stress-filled living, she jumps at the chance to quit her job and move to Kentucky to care for her quirky, but sweet, ailing aunt.

Andie is looking forward to the slower-paced life of the small town, but instead she must deal with a new job selling gemstones on an all-women cable shopping network called, S.T.U.D.; a murder, in which she is the prime suspect; a mysterious and annoying gift, named Rio; international intrigue; missing Myanmar rubies; and a pain-in-the-gut, hunky jock co-host.

Priced to Move has Andie spouting so much interesting gemology information that you may be tempted to keep the book as a reference guide and go hunting for your own rare, but oh-so-divine bauble.

I love high-speed mystery stories, unfortunately I found myself skimming over paragraphs of seemly idle chitchat, which included some difficult-to-decipher Southern lingo, searching for this story's plotline. However, the ending supplied a surprising villain, as well as tied up most of the loose ends in a satisfactory manner.

Armchair Interviews says: The heroine knows her gems.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Mom - Lit Book You Will Get Lost In!, October 8, 2007
Priced to Move is a fantastic story about the choices we make in life, the consequences of those choices, and trusting God to guide us. The characters are so real I wanted to invite them over for dinner. But then I'd have to cook something good...scratch that idea.

I am about 1/3 of the way through this book, and can't seem to put it down. I have my nose buried in it every chance I get.

If you are looking for a wonderful story that will help you to appreciate your life no matter how many adventures you face daily, Priced to Move is for you.
