This sequel to The Christian Traveler's Companion: The USA and Canada begins as its predecessor, with basic questions and answers. But traveling overseas is more complicated than navigating North America-and it raises a lot more questions.
This guidebook moves through Western Europe country by country, citing between 3,000 and 3,500 locations. Like the previous book, it cites places of interest to both Protestants and Catholics and includes sidebars on special points of interest. The authors place special emphasis on Christian history. They also include hymn stanzas appropriate to the countries and short biographical sketches of influential people.
This is a book for families to share. Adventuresome families will find plenty of places they can enjoy together, including unique spots in favorite places like Paris, London, the Alps, Rome, Heidelberg, and Amsterdam, and also great out-of-the-way places along Norwegian fjords, besid Germany's Romantic Road, by Ireland's Dingle Bay, in Spain's Costa del Sol, and hundreds more.
