5.0 out of 5 stars Great book very easy to understand and follow., November 13, 1998
This is a very good book for anyone interested in Quigong. This book is very well written in plain and easy to understand language. The divisions in the book are natural and allow you to progress at your leisure. The illustrations are very clear and go hand in hand with the instructions. I would recommend this book, and as a matter of fact,I have to anyone that has a willingness to learn the beginnings of Quigong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, Helpful Content, January 30, 2009
By Demitri Pevzner (depends on time of year) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This little book was among my first Qi Gong books, and is still one of my favorites. It presents the reader with a clear set of instructions followed by simple illustrations. The authors did a great job presenting the information in as simple and comprehensive a manner as possible.

Among the exercises presented within the book, is the Dan Tien filling exercise, which will MONUMENTALLY improve your breathing capacity, as well as your ability to relax the whole body.

The section on the Yijin Jing in itself is worth the cover price. This has helped my flexibility, tendons, and joint pains. In grappling arts such as Jiu Jitsu, this will give you a very distinct advantage. A very valuable Qi Gong set.

The 13 Grand Life Preservers, is an interesting set, and is easy for the elderly to follow. It's one of my favorite ways to cool down after an intense workout, as I find that it really helps me relax.

There are several other sections which you might find useful, but the bottom line is, this is a great book for a beginner, or someone looking to expand their Qi Gong knowlege base. Highly recommended.
