Grade 4-7?Exceptionally well-focused, well-organized titles on aquatic biomes. The lively texts are divided into clearly defined units such as physical features, plants, and animals. "At A Glance" sections contain the basic information necessary to understand what each habitat consists of and how it functions. Concluding chapters discuss how humans impact each environment, followed by a list of resources that readers can refer to in order to help preserve it. Facts are illustrated by small, but attractive and informative full-color photographs. Easily interpreted diagrams are employed wherever further clarification is needed. These books are prime choices for researchers, and the fascinating facts and oddities will attract casual browsers as well.
