Product Description
"Manes Pierre: The Man and His Thoughts" is an expository and revealing look at the lives of the many Haitians whose native tongue is Creole, but whose countrys official language is French. As a child growing up in Haiti, Pierre experienced first-hand the isolation and inferiority this language barrier causes, the feeling of being a foreigner in your own country.
In a selfless attempt to create awareness, Manes Pierre outlines several proposals to end this language injustice that inflicts thousands of people and to give back to Creole-speaking Haitians what they never should have lost pride of their native language.
About the Author
