If you own one Stooge book, this should be it!, December 24, 1997
For nearly twenty years, Joan's "Three Stooges Scrapbook" has been the one reference book that any Stooge fan cannot be without. The book is conveniently divided into sections (biographies, history of the team, television, collectables, etc.), is easy to read, and is one of the most comprehensive books on the comedy team ever to be published. You will refer to this book again and again.

Start your Stooge book collection with this, June 7, 2001
By A Customer
Partially written by Moe's daughter, this is the book the budding stooge fan should buy first. Each of the stooges (Moe, Larry, Curly, Shemp, Joe, and Curly Joe) are given a separate biographical chapter. Their filmmaking history is covered, as well as less well known forays into Television, Comic Books, and yes, singing record albums. The stooges proved to be successful in nearly everything they tried. But the best feature by far is the reference synopses of EVERY stooge short, complete with cast list, director, and trivia. If a gag was used in multiple shorts (many were), they are cross-referenced. A must for any stooge's film festival. Another highlight is photos of the original lobby cards for the shorts. A number of family photographs are included, in which almost all, the boys are shown mugging. A gem for any stooge fan, it has been in print for more than 20 years.

The BEST Three Stooges Reference Book, December 6, 2003
After 20 years in print, this 1983 book remains the best book for Three Stooges fans! If you want to know all about the Stooges themselves, the team's history, the films, the records, the comic books, 50 years of collectibles & memorabilia, and so much more... Twenty years of subsequent Stooges research has turned up some discrepancies, but overall this book is the definitive reference tool. Authors Joan Howard, who is Moe's daughter, and the Lenburg brothers created a tome that deserves an updated printing for the 2000's! (Although the current management of C3 will probably not allow that to happen.) Since SCRAPBOOK's publication, it has been worthily joined by: - THE COMPLETE THREE STOOGES by Jon Solomon, a detailed and worthy companion that analyses each Three Stooges film from 1930 - 1970 - Moe Howard's own autobiography, MOE HOWARD AND THE THREE STOOGES (1976) * - And, Joan Howard's CURLY: BIOGRAPHY OF THE SUPERSTOOGE (1985) * * Out of print, but used copies are readily available from Amazon, other online retailers, and online auction sites ... This book and the aforemtioned companions combine to make the best reference tools for any Three Stooges fan!
