Product Description
Children are bewildered and full of questions when a grandparent, friend, or someone they love dies. We want to help, and yet the needs of a five-year-old are very different from those of an older child. Theresa Huntley shows how children at various ages understand death and offers positive ways for parents and other caring adults to help them grieve.

This book will help you listen to children, answer their questions, and guide them in coping with their feelings. Also included are helps for dealing with the behavior changes that often accompany a child's grief.

5.0 out of 5 stars Grandparents can talk about death and grief., March 9, 2000
By A Customer
When the topic of death comes into the conversation with children, it is very helpful to have thought about what I want to say beforehand. This book gave me the opportunity to be more prepared to answer my grandchildrens' questions about death in a relaxed and confident manner.

5.0 out of 5 stars an excellent resource for families and professionals!, March 30, 1998
By A Customer
A very sound set of guidelines to refer to when a child has lost a loved one through death. Written at a level that is easy to understand and still covers the topic in adequate depth for any professional. Recommended reading!
