Product Description
With more detailed information than has ever appeared in one place before, this huge, comprehensive encyclopedia covers every aspect of the UFO mystery. Delve into the fascinating story of UFOs, with all the key dates and events--including some that occurred before the landmark "flying saucer" sighting in 1947. Then assess the various categories of sightings, close encounters, daylight disks, abductions, time lapses, and more. A UFO atlas gives an A to Z survey of nations throughout the world, which maps the differences in government attitudes, scientific research, the types of activity, and sheer number of sightings. If you want to get involved yourself, an alphabetized listing includes major researchers, authors, groups, and publications that can provide the specific knowledge you're seeking. And, finally, a directory of world records answers questions about UFOs you may never even have thought to ask! The truth is in here! The author lives in Fleetwood, Lancs (England). 512 pages, 55 b/w illus., 4 3/16 x 5 1/4.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why did they call it encyclopedia? It is tiny!!!!!!!!, March 20, 2009
By Jose Manuel Perez (Vera Cruz, Mexico) - See all my reviews
It is as small as 4 centimers by 4 centimenters.
It fits in your small rear pocket.
I was disapointed when I received the book.
I expected an encyclopedia, but it is a tiny small very small book!
But, I enjoyed the contents. Nicely written.
I finished reading the whole book in 2 hours because it is so small, ridiculously small, but VERY GOOD CONTENT!!

5.0 out of 5 stars An awesome introduction on ufology, April 7, 2000
By A Customer
Although I have believed in UFO's and extraterrestrials my whole life, I haven't found many books that seem to take it seriously. Most books blow it all up out of proportion with ideas of planet wars and alien children out to kill us; however, this is one book I can finally recommend. It is very thick and well worth the price, as it covers a lot of ground. It lists all relevant case histories from prehistoric times to the present, making note of the relevance of each (military, government, TV, etc.), gives definitions of all the close encounters (CE's), and finally has a section with advice on what to do if you have a sighting, and organizations which you can contact. A wonderful introduction book and a great reference for those of us with more knowledge.
