All kinds of rugs fill these pages--at the front of the book as blueprints for ideas; sprinkled throughout the chapters as illustrations for certain textural points; and in one chapter as companions of four styles of color and texture. Tips come in all shapes and content, such as three ways to fashion human and pet eyes. The stories are another matter, yet they fit in seamlessly, without much interruption. "Bottom Star-Big Dipper," for example, chronicles the last months that a couple spent together--first, in preparation for death but, thanks to the process of hooking, living life. The 10 designs are more suggestions than step-by-step renditions.
