Product Description

Humor and tips on how to survive the toddler years from the author of Planet Parenthood

Just when parents thought it was safe to stop worrying about their baby 24/7, the baby suddenly turns into a toddler, and their parenting game slams into overdrive. Now that their child throws a Force Five Tantrum at the very sight of the bathtub each night, they wonder why they thought teething was such a traumatic deal. Screaming. Running away. A penchant for cowboy books. The toddler years are not for the weak of heart or shaky of leg. Fortunately, bestselling humor author and mom of two Julie Tilsner feels the pain. New parents who loved the breezy humor and all-too-true scenarios of Planet Parenthood will welcome the wickedly funny essays on:

  • Tantrum Management
  • The Five Kinds of Toddler Parents
  • Valid Reasons to Avoid Holidays with Toddlers
  • Sharing and Other Myths
  • Tapping Your Inner Toddler

5.0 out of 5 stars gives the advice parents really need, May 9, 2002
By A Customer
This is a great book for busy parents to kick back with at the end of a long day. It's easy, light, fun reading, but packed with useful information. For example, I was thrilled to learn that two-year-olds typically get harder to understand -- not easier-- as they learn more words. (I was starting to wonder if I was the only mother who couldn't understand her child). This book was packed with advice I can use and made me feel like a great parent at the same time -- a rare feat for a parenting book!

5.0 out of 5 stars You need it if you have a toddler, December 10, 2001
By A Customer
With wit that doesn't hide her wisdom, Julie Tilsner gives parents permission to laugh at the hardest parts of raising a toddler. Reading her books is like commiserating with a good friend who really loves and understands kids -- AND has a terrific sense of humor.

Great read for parents who are in the thick of the toddler years, or just about to enter them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Mother who dislikes Julie tilsner
I think that Julie Tilsner is incorrect. I do not believe that you should explaine sex to your child. I will not tell me son what private parts are until He is older not 2-3. Read more
