Product Description

Creating colorful, inexpensive, theme-related bulletin boards will be a snap with "Bulletin Bored? or Bulletin Boards!" Designed with the non-artist in mind, each bulletin board idea features easily reproducible black and white designs with detailed descriptions of materials, slogans, colors, and curriculum use. The book is organized chronologically to follow the school year. Bulletin board themes revolve around holidays, seasons, social issues, sports, the environment, reading, and more. Pages of patterns, helpful hints, and additional ideas will make implementing and personalizing catchy displays simple. From back to school to graduation, teachers and librarians will find a wealth of ideas to revitalize their bulletin boards. Includes a selected bibliography.

What a great book! Filled with ideas to inspire originality or to copy. Great for school or classroom bulletin boards. Many "cool" ideas for Middle School age as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst book ever, August 13, 2008
By B. Russell (i'd rather not say) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Bulletin Bored? or Bulletin Boards! (Paperback)
This is hands down the worst book I have ever added to my professional library. When I saw the title, "Bulletin Bored?" I thought that it was a "cure" for people sick of skeleton boards in October, hearts in February and flowers in March. I was wrong. It is centered around holidays and couldn't be used for any upper grades as the "K-12" suggests. For upper grades they have a section on "Social Issues" and suggest making a Suicide board with slogans like "You Don't Have To Be Alone". There are is also a suggestion for a board where you appear to be staring down the barrel of a gun. I'm sick of holiday themed bulletin boards, but if you like them, that's your prerogative. (If you're sick of them too, check out The Great Bulletin Unbored Book One and Two published by Tin Man Press.) If you choose to decorate based on the holidays, use a calendar for ideas, not this book. It does include patterns for heart people, but I think printing from the internet or clip art would be a lot less time consuming than copying, coloring, and cutting out these dated pictures. Save your money teachers! You don't make enough as it is.
