4.0 out of 5 stars Bachache Sufferers Surveyed, March 10, 2000
By A Customer
This book is the result of a survey of 492 backache and neckache sufferers, and what did and what did not work for them. It discusses types of practitioners, drugs, therapies, exercises, and other lifestyle tips. I found it very helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still the best review of Practitioners and Practice, February 19, 2005
This book originally appeared in 1985 and was reissued in 1991. Based on a review of questionaires issed to selected individuals, the relative rating of practioners and methods of treatment is still current as of this date (2/2005), judged by my personal experience with treatment of this condition for over 30 years.
His bottom line:
See a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation if your back does not get well with treatment by someone else, especially if someone has recommended surgery!!
