Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal
A master graphologist, East owns the handwriting-analysis firm Strokes and Slants of Washington, DC, and London, which has decrypted for the House of Representatives and Fortune 500 corporations. By using the 50-year-old science of handwriting analysis, East believes that women can find the proverbial Mr. Right. Each chapter analyzes a different trait (e.g., sociability) and is divided into the 12 hours of the day. Handwriting, East asserts, can reveal whether the potential lover is gay, has a temper, or is drug/alcohol addicted. Scrawl samples of 20 happily married couples of various ethnic backgrounds are discussed. The last chapter ends with plenty of advice for the single woman. A quick-find guide is appended that contains an alphabetical handwriting sample list with meanings. An interesting twist to handwriting analysis; for public libraries.

Review
"Written in clear, easy language, and ripe to readiness with hints and tips, Finding Mr. Write is a stimulating companion for anyone whose quest to find true love has been repetitive, boring, disappointing, treacherous, predictable, or bland. As wise as an aunt, as honest as a sister-friend, Finding Mr. Write is more than a book. It is an ode to the truth."
--From the Foreword by Colin Channer, author of Waiting in Vain

"This is a sensitive, practical approach to finding your soul mate. It does not preclude romance, fun, or spontaneity. The wisdom Beverley East passes on to her readers should help assure that love blooms in fertile soil."
--Patrice Gaines, author of Laughing in the Dark and Moments of Grace

"Leading graphologist Beverley East tells us what handwriting reveals and offers women another tool for finding love and fulfillment."
--Bebe Moore Campbell, author of Singing in the Comeback Choir, Brothers and Sisters, and Your Blues Ain't Like Mine

5.0 out of 5 stars "Write" on, Dude, August 4, 2000
Of all the books I've reviewed on Graphology, this tops my list. Not only does the author give you clear information on what to look for and how to review it, it is blatantly obvious she is educated and has plenty of life experience to share with her readers. Once you have the information you are seeking, it is good that she explains what to do with it - particularly tips on better understanding the male mind, AND providing a useful guide for the single woman.

"Where you are is where you need to be right this moment because you are not ready for more. When you are ready, your mate will be there."

A MUST READ!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Page-Turner, June 25, 2000
I got this book and could not put it down. It becomes contagious after a while because everytime someone writes me something I have to pick it up again to see if I can find out more about them. It is an easy read with great tips for the single girl making her way. I have learnt so much about myself and others in a very short time. More More More praise to the author.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Pen IS Mightier Than the Sword, January 8, 2002
By C. Pons (Washington, DC -- USA) - See all my reviews
He says all the right things, but does he look good on paper?? That's the question I asked myself after reading "Mr. Write." How could I (how could anyone) resist the temptation to find out using the well-written, clear and insightful analyses provided by Ms. East. Intelligent, witty and sometimes disturbing, Ms. East shows us how cryptology reveals a person's personality through the simple act of writing a note and how anyone can can apply those theories. In addition, she provides easy to understand examples. So, if you're wondering if he's as good as he seems, or too good to be true. Is he kind, open, generous and straightforward or critical, controlling and deceitful? Find out for yourself. By the way, I did. Fortunately, I learned enough to to confirm what I already knew, which was, that while the gentleman in question may not be Mr. Right, he's perfectly suited for Mr. Right Now!! So I'm keeping pen and paper handy while my search continues.
