YA-- A comprehensive resource outlining events, major awards, cities, stadiums, and arenas relating to the history of North American sports. It is not biographical except to point out the historical importance individual athletes bring to a sport. The volume is alphabetically arranged, with an in-depth index, cross references, and helpful addresses of sports organizations, halls of fame, and related team activities. The black-and-white photographs are few and uninspired, but the book does succeed as a ready reference for hard to find sports facts.
