5.0 out of 5 stars Very clear, yet detailed instructions, October 27, 1999
By A Customer
The before and after shots in this book are spectacular. For example, Krist shows you a picture in an ordinary lab room with flourescent lights and no special lighting. Then he shows you how to make it a magazine-quality photo with light fillers, gels, etc. Exceptional book.

4.0 out of 5 stars For Nikon Users!, May 1, 2001
By yuvak tuladhar (Richmond , CA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a great book if you already have some knowledge of photography and own Nikon equipments. I already owned Nikon gear when I bought this book. So it was very helpful. Also there are lots of things that you can learn from it even if you have camera other than Nikon. The quality of pictures were very good and his writing style is easy to understand. He really shows way to get great effects with one or more than one light source. This book motivated me to shoot more challenging pictures.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Master at Lighting--Bob Shows You How, December 9, 1999
By Byron E. Crowley (Mooresville, NC USA) - See all my reviews
Bob Krist is a master photographer who has come across all the difficult lighting problems and has found ways to overcome then. He shows you how he did it--in a clear explanation and with diagrams. Bob shows many comparison shots-- of how the shot looked and what he did to make it a great shot. Bob is a down to earth photographer who shows how to use what you have and not go out and buy the store for a shot. I recommend this book for all levels of photogrhers who want to make better pictures.
