Review

Meredith Gould's splendid book combines spiritual wisdom with practical experience to help professional and lay communicators represent the church in society. If congregations and denominations heeded her advice there would be less conflict and more understanding among religions and between faith communities and the media. I thank God for her skill, humor, and hope. -- Quentin J. Schultze, Ph.D., Executive Director, Gainey Institute for Faith and Communication, Calvin College

5.0 out of 5 stars A practical guide to creating a spiritual framework for church communications, August 8, 2008
The Word Made Fresh provides exercises for both individuals and groups that guide those involved in church communications toward a better process and more productive results. And it's all done within a faith-based, spiritual framework, defining church communications as a ministry and encouraging both a prayerful and practical approach. This book is a great tool for church groups, laity, theology students and staff, as well as any individual seeking to improve his/her communication skills. Two people have tried to borrow mine already after looking through a few pages and seeing the many practical tips and resources inside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspires and informs , August 8, 2008
Meredit Gould provides writers, thinkers, creators, videographers, photographers, and many others in the church communications business plenty of deep and lofty thoughts as well as a great spread of practical, how-to and do-this-next advice. It is as useful in writing a book as a training manual or parish newsletter, while also maintaining one's Christian ethic.
