For five long years, Nicholas Talbot has waited for the day when he could send to England for his beloved Alyssa. A string of bad luck has left Nicholas's plantation in financial trouble and his partner dead. He needs Alyssa more than ever. But Nicholas is still convinced Kate is plotting to marry him for what he can give her, not for love. And Kate thinks Nicholas is still in love with Alyssa.
