FAMILIAR STRANGER is due in stores the last week of July.  I had a great time writing this story.  It is book #1 in a mini-series that features books written by four different authors.  All four of us are friends.  We came up with the concept for this series and titled it Dark Enchantments.  Then, we each set out to write a story in the world of demons, hunters, faeries and other assorted creatures.

I wanted the hero, Jack Harris to be a skeptic—until he meets a demon face to face.  From then on, he's all about the head-count.  Bringing demons down, so they will not harm others.  But when he meets Mersey Bane, a woman who also tracks demons—but then captures them and does not destroy them—he begins to question all his ideas on right and wrong.

Now, I have to mention one of the secondary characters, because if I don't, he'll be on me until I do.  Raskin RubyThorn is an ostracized faery prince from the Black Court.  Even though he no longer holds a title, he still acts like he's the star and if there were a stage in Faery, he'd be prancing across it.  He's rock n' roll, faery style.  Don't cross him, and do admire him.  And please, please, don't kiss him because he is The Enchanter.  And one kiss will leave you forever pining.

Have an enchanted day!

Hello readers!
It's been ten years since my first vampire romance, DARK RAPTURE was published.  Well, I've got a new vampire story for you called FROM THE DARK, and it's set in the same world of sex, blood and rock n' roll.
I've got the entire first chapter posted at my web site, so you can give it a try before you buy.  www.michelehauf.com
And check back in a few weeks when I'll have out-takes from the story posted as well.
Meanwhile, for updates and news about my books, stop by DUSTED, my (almost) daily blog.  www.dustedbywhimsy.blogspot.com

Do you believe in love at first bite?  I do!

GETAWAY GIRL hits bookshelves very soon, and I'm excited for everyone to read it.  I've always been a huge fan of the movie The Transporter, and GETAWAY GIRL is my 'tip of the hat' to that movie.  My story features a female getaway car driver, and she's never really sure who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.  But one thing is certain, she's going to end up fighting for the good guys.

Did you know there's a soundtrack for this book?  Yep, the heroine listens to her iPod during the story, and I've gathered each song into a list and posted it at iTunes.  So if you have iTunes, go to the Music Store, select iMixes, and then search for "Getaway Girl Book Soundtrack".  And then have fun listening to the tunes that are featured in the story.

For now,
Michele
