From School Library Journal
Gr 7 Up--A superficial look at an incredibly complex subject. Sherman briefly outlines several important issues that would be of concern to parents who are facing this decision. Choosing whether to go through an attorney or an adoption agency is discussed, as are the legal rights of birth parents. The author discusses cases of an adoptee, an adoptive mother, and of a couple who is trying to decide if they will put their baby up for adoption. The content and format of this book are typical of others in the series. Brief chapters offer information in large, widely spaced print. The usual bold headings and stock photos are also present. A directory of help resources and suggestions for further reading round out the presentation. Jeanne Warren Lindsay's Pregnant Too Soon (1988) and Pregnant?: Adoption Is an Option (1996, both Morning Glory Press) are far more informative and effective titles.
