Definitely get a more thorough book with a CD included, this won't do it as a standalone guide. Progresses through the basic blues concepts: chords and progressions, with songs for E and A blues demonstrating fills, turnarounds, intros and endings, solos. Then moves on to songs/chords for minor blues, country blues, rock blues and jazz blues. Scales and chord reference at the end. No frills; devoting a page to each concept. You really need to have an idea to begin with of what blues 'sounds' like to make this book work.

The "Basic" information about blues guitar is good for what you pay. But don't expect a whole lot - because of the price.
