The main idea we're pursuing is that it's the parents and not the church who have the Biblical responsibility. The problem we've run into is that there's not a lot of practical ideas out there on how to do that. This book was pretty good in that regard, although we're now going to buy the package they have that includes their classes for parents. Our church is in the process of trying to empower parents to take responsibility for their kids' spiritual development. The main idea we're pursuing is that it's the parents and not the church who have the Biblical responsibility.

The problem we've run into is that there's not a lot of practical ideas out there on how to do that. This book was pretty good in that regard, although we're now going to buy the package they have that includes their classes for parents.

Well worth your time if you're pursuing these ideas.

Mark Holmen offers insight and suggestions based on his own church experiences. Building Faith at Home is inspiring and valuable for anyone who serves in a church.
