I'm a 22y/o college student. I read this book and thought it was great. If you're a Christian and are truly seeking change, this book is for you. i was surprised by the negative reviews. As I read this book, I was floored at how the author knew exactly where I was coming from. Bob davies personally struggled with the issue of homosexuality. This book really helped me identify with my personal struggles and offered some great advice.

Here is what the Bible says about Homosexuality: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, *nor effeminate,* nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

And if that's as far as the Bible went, there wouldn't be much else to say, or much hope to have. But look at what the very next verse says!

"And such *were* some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

Did you catch that? Some of these Born Again, sanctified, washed, and justified Believers HAD BEEN effeminate, but were no longer! (Isn't that great?)

That's what this book is all about; how to find freedom via the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who came to set the captives free. You CAN be cleansed of every wicked thought, desire, or even intent. JESUS can do that for you, (not wretchedly struggle against it in your own flesh.) Jesus ALONE can do it, when your obedience to Him is fulfilled.

Many people despise this, as it clearly abolishes their pet idols of "genetics," and psychological claptrap. But "whosoever" wants to be FREE from this sin, may come to Jesus.

This book can help, but it is JESUS ONLY Who has the power to set you free! Read the Bible and see for yourself His tremendous working power. Read a portion of the Gospels and you'll find many people who were supernaturally transformed by this lowly carpenter from Galilee. (He can do it for you, too.)

I'm saved! Do I struggle? (Of course, and am promised to have struggles for the duration of this journey.) Am I overcome and defeated? Only if I forsake the Lord Jesus and believe it is up to me to overcome my own sin. But when I am reconnected to Him, there is nothing I cannot do. (May the Lord graciously remind me of this when I am tempted.)

You can be healed PERMANENTLY by Jesus. Read the positive reviews and see just a small sample of the people who've been delivered from the bondage and power of darkness. (Come to Jesus and He'll dispel the darkness from your soul, as well.)

One of my pastors, who loves me and also has a son in the homosexual lifestyle whom she loves dearly, lent this book to me more than 2 years ago. I still have it because I go back and re-read parts of it when I want encouragement and reinforcement. I lived a lesbian lifestyle for about seven years, but I am here to tell you that through this book (and several others), I have learned that God loves me deeply and offers real hope for permanent healing and change. I am now in a healthy heterosexual relationship. I am currently abstinent and will remain so until I marry, but look forward to a fulfilling sex-life with my future husband. I am thankful that Bob and Lori wrote this book for all of us who have the courage to let God into our hurt and believe that He can heal us and YES, CHANGE us!
