5.0 out of 5 stars Old fashioned common sense!, May 26, 1999
By A Customer
None of that complicated psycho-babble! Very straightforward comments and ideas based on old-fashioned values and common-sense. He can be a bit on the harsh side now and then, but if you filter that out this is a book full of good thoughts and ideas. Also recommended: Kid Cooperation (How to Stop Yelling, Nagging and Pleading) by Elizabeth Pantley

5.0 out of 5 stars expressed in a straight foward and humorous way, April 16, 1999
By A Customer
i was at my wits end in how i could get my 3 children to listen, cooperate, and get along. this book put everything into a whole new perspective. i felt empowered after reading it(which took about 3 hours because i couldn't put it down) and things didn't seem so impossible. he made me laugh and realize that these problems happen to everyone at some stage in their children's upbringing. it all seemed so common sense i wish i would've thought of it first.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and on the mark for today's parents!, June 12, 1998
By A Customer
All parents should read this book, if only to reinforce the reminder that parents should be in charge of the household and children should be loved and taught. The author's comments on tolerance, humor, common sense approaches to parenting and discipline are good reminders to us all - even if we already know them (or think we do!).
