5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for your cookbook library, April 26, 1999
By A Customer
I ordered this book and didn't open it until I had a bridal shower to go to. I remembered it on the shelf and sat down to look it over. What a feast for the eyes and what a bunch of mouth-watering recipes! I have ordered two more, one for myself and one for my daughter's hope chest.

The colored pencil drawings that accompany every single recipe are gorgeous. The author became interested in making her own muffins when a favorite bakery near her work went out of business.

The recipes are divided into categories such as those with fruits added, those with even vegetables and herbs, muffins to fit almost any occasion or food combination.

When my checkbook recuperates from the 3 copies I just bought, I plan to keep one on hand and give it as a gift along with a nice muffin tin, a mixing bowl, rubber spatula, etc.

This book is lovely and I'm looking forward to seeing the author's book on soups. bon appetite!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to make muffins galore, July 13, 1999
By Angel Lee "Liocorno Amethyst Moonstone" (Cleveland, OH United States) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
This is a wonderful muffin book containing over 100 easy muffin recipes that use common ingredients. Better yet, preparation time is usually 15 minuets or less. Muffin varieties include those with vegetables, fruits, nuts, & chocolate. Breakfast, adult, & international muffins are also included. There are even recipes to please kids and ones taken from traditional cakes. My favorite section includes 9 luscious chocolate muffin recipes including peanut butter chocolate, mocha chocolate chip, & tunnelfudge to name a few. I also enjoyed the Parmesan tomato & sour cream streusel muffins. The book has a country feel to it. It is printed in color on handmade style paper. There are numerous illustrations throughout. My only wish is for more information on ingredients & general preparation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Filled with a variety of delicious muffins!, October 5, 1999
By A Customer
A terrific book for anyone looking for new and different muffin recipes! All the familiar favorites are there, but you'll also find a fun collection of new recipes; garlic-corn, seafood, mint chocolate chip, and black forest. If you like quick, tasty recipes like these, you'll also like any of the Gooseberry Patch books...filled with yummy recipes & easy how-to's.
