5.0 out of 5 stars Great gift for bridesmaids, June 19, 2001
This gift was the most popular that I gave my bridesmaids. From the start of my wedding planning, I knew that they would never wear the dresses again. So, I picked the most affordable dress that I liked and admitted right up front that I knew that they would never wear it again. (Coming from someone with about 5 bridesmaids dresses hidden in my parent's home.) At the rehearsal dinner, I gave the girls this book along with jewelry to wear at the wedding. They loved the book! The girls kept laughing and pointing out some of the unusual places that the author wore the dress. It certainly helped everyone put a smile on their face and relax before the wedding. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Original, outre, and on the edge!, June 23, 1999
By A Customer
What a hoot! From the sublime to the ridiculous, Rebecca has captured it all in this amusing little book chronicling the many lives of a bridemaid's dress! No one is immune from the author's gentle barbs (including herself), as she and her dress venture into new territory. I especially loved the "tips." Just gave it to a bride-to-be as part of her shower gift; she said it was wonderful! Helps you look at life through a slightly skewed, but brand new prism.

5.0 out of 5 stars My kind of recycling!!!!!!!!!, June 18, 1999
By A Customer
This book was absolutely wonderful!!!! Having been in a few weddings myself - fully equipped with HUGE butt bows - I really appreciated the humor. Also, I would be honored to see the bridesmaid dresses that I chose for my wedding to be used for any one of the ideas!! This really is the best kind of recycling I can think of. I applaud Ms. Whitlinger and her creativity. I look forward to a sequel!!!!! In the meantime, I'm going to see what I can do with my lovely bridesmaid dresses.
