About the Author
With a Ph.D. in physics and an NIH fellowship in medical physics, Tony Wolbarst is certified by the American Board of Radiology in the three fields of radiological physics. Past President of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, he has served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and on staff at the National Cancer Institute. He is currently leader of the Environmental Pathway Modeling group of the Radiation Protection Divison of the U.S. EPA, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Radiology at Georgetwon Medical School. He is the author of several books, including "Looking Within: How X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Other Medical Images Are Created, and How They Help Physicians Save Lives."
