5.0 out of 5 stars Direct Mail Sales Letter "Templates", June 17, 2001
As a direct mail copywriter, this book is one of my top resources. Here are 96 of the all-time best selling direct mail letters. (My only criticism is that I had to count the number of letters because it was not listed.) Before each letter, the editors explain the challenge, the solution, and their comments.

These letters contain ideas and patterns that can be "borrowed" as templates. How would you like your letter to be patterned after one that brought $1B in sales to American Express?

The chapters are conveniently divided by product or service category: Subscriptions, Collectibles, Products, Books, Financial Services and Investments, Memberships, B2B, Personal Services and Insurance, and Fund Raising. Do you need a letter to sell subscriptions? See how it was done by The Wall Street Journal, Worth Magazine, and others.

If you are involved in writing or publishing direct mail, this tool can only increase your R.O.I.

5.0 out of 5 stars Turn words into money..., January 19, 2007
Are looking for an excellent way to increase your income? If so, read this outstanding book on how to turn words into money.

Are you in the copywriting business? You should own this book.

Do you want to learn to write better sales pieces for your own personal use? Check out a copy at your local library.

The five pages listed in chapter two contain sales/writing wisdom that will save you decades of "grief" and massively increase your income. The 446 pages after that are a literal smorgasbord of writing ideas and techniques - a literal swipe file - that you can extract out, modify as appropriate and put to work for your own benefit.

It's as simple as this. I've spent thousands of dollars for the "big name" copywriters programs. This book will give you a better education and better examples than many of their programs will.
