Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

Sumptuously photographed and presented, Potatoes delights the eyes and the taste buds. Fifty recipes, literally from all over the world, use the good old spud to liven up even the simplest of meals.

New twists are given to classic recipes, and additional suggestions provide plenty of food for thought. Clear, concise instructions detail the preparation and cooking of a range of one-pot meals, accompaniments, and even desserts! To help even the most hapless beginner, 10 recipes are described in step-by-step photographs to ensure that everyone can make food look like the beautiful photographs of Peter Myers. From delightfully crispy roast potatoes to fusion delights like Thai-Style Fish Fingers (with frothy lime and lemongrass hollandaise) or the unusual golden potato scones with Parmesan and pancetta, Potatoes is a book to please vegetarians and carnivores alike. --Rebecca Loades, Amazon.co.uk

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Cookbook, March 13, 2004
By Baazumi (New York City, NY) - See all my reviews

This review is from: Potatoes (Hardcover)
Simply outstanding in every respect - Wonderful and unique receipes for potatoes, simple to follow instructions, listed ingredients separate from receipes for ease of preparation, and great photographs. This book doesn't rely on the old standards for potatoes and offers many interesting and tasteful receipes for both non-dairy and dairy diets. I've purchased three cookbooks to date, 2 for gifts and one for myself. These people should be proud of producing such a nice cookbook - thanks.
