I have had this book for many years, and never actually found any useful information, not one time. Granted, there is a lot of material in there, but there isn't enough space to properly cover any individual topic (it doesn't even have enough tables, or quick-reference data), so the user would do well to look for the info elsewhere (in a proper book).
As a general rule, I now stay away from all of Mr. Whitaker's "books", he seems to have better editorial skills than technical ones, and he always manages to get a lot of garbage published (with catchy titles). Speaking of garbage, a couple of weeks ago I took this (heavy) book to its final resting place (the dumpster), I did not even want to sell it. I don't mean to be vicious, I have seen the good reviews, but I don't think they are warranted.

2500 pages full of useless information without any deapth in the material.
A complete waste of money that should have been spent on other books.
I've at times tried to use it as a reference, but have always placed it back in the shelf.

If you're into electronics design, check out "The art of electronics" instead.

This handbook is a very complete reference but also very complicated for undergraduate student. I have a very hard time trying to learn a subject from this book , because the ditactics is not very good. This is a chronical problem of the CRC's handbook, I also have the Electrical handbook. I wouldn't recomend this book unless you have a very strong knowloge in electronic engineering, and just need to remind some information from time to time. I gave a 4 stars grade because you can find anything regarding electrical and electronics in this handbooks.
