Product Description

As Jesus entered His final days and faced Golgotha, He acted with loving purpose and deliberate intent. Each step was calculated. Every act premeditated.

Knowing He had just one week with His disciples, what did Jesus tell them? Where did He go? What did He do? What really mattered in those final hours? And the Angels Were Silent allows you to enter the holy week and observe…

· His final walk through the Temple of Jerusalem, for it was on this walk that He denounced hollow religion.

· His final walk to the Mount of Olives, for it was there He promised to return and take you home.

· His final walk to Golgotha's cross, for it was there He purchased your freedom.

And the Angels Were Silent…a revealingly intimate look at our Savior's last week.

4.0 out of 5 stars Will make you think., October 30, 2007

(REAL NAME)
Max Lucado wonderfully weaves modern day stories with Jesus' last week in And the Angels Were Silent. I think almost everyone will find nuggets to take away from this book to help with their daily walk and, while this book is short and could be read in a sitting or two, I think it is better read in short spurts and then pondered on. There is also a Readers Guide with questions to prompt further thought about each chapter along with bible verses to direct further study.

Much like the other book of Mr. Lucado's that I have read, Facing Your Giants, it might be a good book to put on your nightstand to read a few chapters each evening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thought Provoking, December 21, 2007
Perfect for a morning devotional. Each chapter will mean something different to each person. Although it is about the last week of Jesus' life, every word made me stop and think. Everyone I have recommended this book to has been touched in a different way.
