Product Description

In 1885, the Murphy mine struck gold. According to legend, Annie Murphy killed her husband out of greed, but just before she was to be hanged for the murder, she escaped. Now, a hundred years later, there have been sightings of Annie Murphy's "ghost." The Coopers unwittingly become involved in a mystery that finds them caught between the past and the present.

5.0 out of 5 stars Whosever will may read, October 27, 1999
By A Customer
This book was excellent. I have every book Frank has ever written and I have read all of them at least three times. Except for Visitation and Prophet. Frank is perhaps the best writer around in the Christian field or in the secular field. This entire Cooper series is not for every 9-12 year old. The intensity of some of the books may be too much. These are excellent for adults looking for a good clean adventure story.

5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put this book down, May 20, 2000
By Elijah (Celestial, CA) - See all my reviews
In this fantasic novel, Frank Peretti captures you up in the story of a murderess, and a time warp that send Jay, Lila and a sheriff through time. The suspense this story delivers is unbearable. I didn't want to stop. Even for school. If you like mysteries, this is for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Book with Spirit--Or Is It?, April 22, 1999
By A Customer
As a long-devoted fan of Peretti, I was curious to see what he would do with a ghost. I'm not going to give the answer away, but I'll encourage you to read this first chance you get. It won't take long--I finished it in less than an hour--and the plot is incredible. This is the kind of book that bends your mind while it takes your breath away. I would have to say that Peretti has done it again.
