Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Because warehouses typically contain no dangerous machines or high-risk operations, employers and employees often develop a false sense of safety and security. However, the National Safety Council reports that 10 to 25 percent of all workplace injuries occur at warehouse loading docks, and OSHA estimates that approximately 100 people die each year while operating powered industrial trucks. In this book, author George Swartz helps warehouse management proactively develop formal safety programs and reduce the number of safety incidents and losses that occur in warehouse environments.

About the Author
George Swartz is the safety director for Midas International Corporation. A Certified Safety Professional, Mr. Swartz has extensive experience that spans over 28 years in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, heavy construction, and auto repair.

(REAL NAME)
This is an outstanding book on safety issues related to warehousing. Covering lift truck safety, dock safety, fire safety, storage, material handling, ergonomics, lockout/tagout, and others. The book is comprehensive yet very easy to read. Good use of photos and graphics. Anyone involved in running a warehouse should read this book.
