The book is arranged in easily read, well illustrated, and readily comprehended chapters with specific examples of math skills used in diverse fields such as the social sciences, biology, and businesses. Not only does Tobias give the history behind the mathematical formula and problem, but she also gives excellent examples. A ``must have'' in libraries serving young adults.
