About the Author
Ted Andrews is a full-time author, student, and teacher in the metaphysical and spiritual fields. He conducts seminars, symposiums, workshops, and lectures throughout the country on many facets of ancient mysticism, focusing on translating esoteric material to make it comprehensible and practical for everyone. Ted is certified in basic hypnosis and acupressure, and is involved in the study and use of herbs as an alternative path in health care. He is active in the holistic healing field, focusing strongly on esoteric forms of healing with sound, music, and voice. Trained in piano, Ted also employs the use of the Celtic harp, bamboo flute, shaman rattles, Tibetan bells, Tibetan Singing Bowl, and quartz crystal bowls to create individual healing therapies and induce higher states of consciousness. Ted is a clairvoyant and also works with past-life analysis, aura interpretation, dreams, numerology, and Tarot.

Andrews is the author of The Healer's Manual; Animal-Speak, How to See & Read the Aura; Dream Alchemy; Crystal Balls & Crystal Bowls; How to Develop & Use Psychic Touch; How to Heal with Color; Sacred Sounds; Magickal Dance; and many other titles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact and Useful, July 14, 2000
By A Customer
Many books on the market today are all about wasting time and going on a tangent that the reader doesn't even understand yet. This book is really straight-forward, honest, and sincere. Putting the ideas in a small bite that the reader can understand, especially if they are a new comer to the realm of magick.

Ted takes the reader and explains things in a light that is easily understandable and fun to read. This would be an excellent primer to reading any other works by Mathers, Crowley, and Fortune.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy pocket guide to the Qabala, December 15, 1999
By Christobel (California, USA) - See all my reviews
As long as you realize that this book is geared towards people with little or no understanding of the Qabala, you will understand why I gave it such a good rating. It is easy to comprehend and follow. This is a great book to read, especially before researching some of the harder-to-read works on this topic.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE LITTLE BOOK THAT IS TRUE TO ITS TITLE, April 7, 2000
By A Customer
I had always been intrigued by the qabala, but found all the books on the subject too daunting to keep me interested. So when I came upon this little book in the New Age shelf at Scribners I was sold after just a brief look. I finally understood what qabala is! As a previous reviewer stated, the exercises really work. Therefore, I must warn any casual dabblers out there - this is not a game! If you are interested in the subject, by all means read on and enjoy the book, however do not attempt to practice its principles unless you are a serious student. Approach the practice with seriousness and reverence or you may find yourself in a predicament not unlike that of Pandora!
