Product Description

John Paull II's Book of Mary is a compilation of the Holy Father's reflections on the most blessed of all believers, eloquently expressing the Pontiff's love for the Blessed Virgin in his own words, as well as detailing his vision of her many roles and titles in the history and holy life of the Catholic Faith.

After the death of his mother when he was eight, Karol Wojtyla developed an intense and spiritually sustaining devotion to the Mother of God, a devotion he has expressed memorably and repeatedly as Pope John Paul II.

This collection of uplifting and inspiring excerpts from his encyclicals, letters, sermons, and decrees offers a literary homage to the Pontiff's unflagging and abiding dedication to the Virgin Mary. He has ceaselessly offered thanks and prayers to the Virgin, crediting her with not only saving his life after the assassination attempt in 1981, but also with her continuing presence in world affairs, including the collapse and downfall of the Soviet Empire.

Now you can share in these beautiful reflections on Mary by John Paul II, the great spiritual leader of our times.

A book to be read and reread, John Paul II's Book of Mary will bring you to greater trust and hope in Mary, the most blessed of believers and the model of faith for all Christians.

5.0 out of 5 stars John Paul II's Book of Mary, July 16, 2000
By A Customer
I find this book to be very inspirational and insightful to John Paul II's, one of the holiest men alive, knowledge and understanding of our Blessed Mother in the Catholic Church today. The author has taken 17 different titles of Mary and taken many different speaches, writings, etc and put them together to show JPII's desire for us to know who Mary is and what she does for us. I really took a great deal from this book as I not only use it as a prayer meditational, but also as a refernce helping me to grow in my devotion to Mary.
