5.0 out of 5 stars Friendly and affective., March 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Have an Orgasm...As Often As You Want (Hardcover)
The author of this book is just a normal woman, just like the reader. She's not an educated sex therapist and therefore she approaches the subject of female sexuality armed with nothing but common sense. Although it's unfair to say that she's not "educated" in the field of sex because the book contains her personal studies concerning sex and orgasm. The advantage of her "non therapist" title is that she talks to the reader as a friend sitting at her coffee table and somehow the notion of a problem becomes vague and the practicing of a skill becomes more interesting. The book contains an easy step by step guide to reach the goal of getting an orgasm whenever and where-ever one wants. In order to reach this physical pleasure she encourages the reader to be selfish and bring out the egoist and build a sexy self image which by part contains excluding other peoples opinion. Simply put, the goal is to have an orgasm as often as you want and Rachel Swift gives directions in order to reach that goal. Her directions are easy to follow and pleasurable and guarantee success (if followed, of course). The text is friendly, funny and charming and every woman can benefit from it no matter if getting an orgasm is a problem for them or not. Besides it opens a door to the woman's world and every man that wants to become the ideal lover can definitely benefit from reading the book as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for., January 22, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Have an Orgasm...As Often As You Want (Hardcover)
This book was just what I was looking for. I didn't want some preachy book about how women have been opressed for so long. I didn't want someone to talk to me in a condescending way, or make assumptions about me or my partners. I wanted something concrete-a program or steps that I could follow. And this is exactly what I found! The author offers a step-by-step program, which guides you to orgasm by taking "baby steps" to get there. The program has helped my relationship immensly, and I know it will be a very rewarding journey all the way through to the last steps!

5.0 out of 5 stars good book, December 18, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Have an Orgasm...As Often As You Want (Hardcover)
It seems that most of the sexual guides out there are geared to giving the man pleasure. In my experience that has never been a problem. The guides that are geared toward woman are usually filled with stories about muti orgasmic woman sharing their adventures. If you are a woman who really wants some clear cut advice that really works given in a friendly chatty kind of format this book is for you. It is written by a woman who had the frustation of regular unsatisfying sex herself and tells how she learned to overcome this. It was not written by some clinical doctor. The program teaches you how to be in control of your own orgasm in bed not be dependent on the abilities of your partner to have one. It's empowering. I definately recommend this book.
