Writing from the prespective of someone who bought the book because he was interesting in find out what palm reading was all about, this seems pretty shady business. He does state the palm readings can't predict the future, but it can give you a glimpse at it by learning about the person's traits and personality.

The author states that that handlines can change within a lifetime as a person also changes, but then tells us to look at things like thumb print patterns. If you have a loop, it means team worker and adaptable. If you have a double whorl, it means double sided-person and tries to please. Yes if a person's personality changes dramatically, we all know fingerprints don't change!

While he does say you need to take all of the different signs into account, there are so many signs, each with so many possible meanings, that you can come up with all sorts of final conclusions about the person.
