This book goes over the basics of Scientology and explains them in a fascinating and practical way.

This was the first book I read on the subject and I think what I enjoyed about it the most was that I could try out the ideas for myself. I didn't just have to believe or accept anything, the book challenged me to think for myself.

The datum that the hightest purpose in the universe is the creation of effect explained to me a great deal about the behavior of myself and others and actually made me much more tolerant of others.

The chapter on games and how they apply to life enabled me to see where I was getting involved with activities that were not what I really wanted and I was then able to make changes so I was doing what I wanted and I felt much happier with myself and my life.

I could go on, but I would fill up the whole page.

I will end by saying that I recommend this book highly. Read it and make your life go the way you want it to.

This book is not light reading. I do think it is a vital book for anyone who is actively searching through different spiritual philosophies, looking for some answers to the basic questions of existence.

Chapters in this book discuss freedom and why we have barriers. The relationship between the mind, spirit and body. How we can be spiritual beings, yet are in a position where we have limited knowledge and abilities.

This is really intense stuff - and the meat and potatoes of true spiritual philosophy. I find this book to be challenging, yet inspirational to me every time I read it.

I recommend this book to anyone who is awake enough as a spiritual being to pose the questions, "Why am I here?" and "How can I improve my situation?"

I am sooo sick of people bashing Scientology, saying it's a cult or whatever else they makeup.
I read this book, Fundamentals of Thought, and had for the first time in my life felt that finally, someone had some concrete information on how life works.
AS I was reading it, I was told by other people who were not Scientologists about how 'bad' it all is and thus my viewpoint was a little blurred by there lies. Finally, I asked myself whether or not I wanted the truth or a bunch of BS.

Fundamentals of Thought is amazing. It's unbelievably logical and doesn't go in circle like some philosophers do.
It gets to the point, and by god, it hits stuff on the nail. You can actually read the book, and go ahead and apply it to any situation in your life!
Scientology is meant for people who ask lots of questions and are not satisfyied until everything makes sense.
If you've been a victim of people telling you BS about the subject or are just intreguid at life, read this book.
