4.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic combination!, August 28, 2000
By Adam F. Jewell (Pittsburgh, PA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Deming and Goldratt (Paperback)
Goldratt and Deming, are arguably two of the most influential business thinkers ever. This book melds statistical process control, and the Theory of Constraints, finally bringing these techniques together in one book. You'll gain a basic understanding of both SPC, and an intro to the Theory of Constraints (TOC), and Goldratts' Thinking Processes (TP). In addition to presenting the tools for process control, measurement, and continuous improvement, the book provides brief bios of both Deming and Goldratt, giving the reader insight into the background of both. Very good book, and a great compliment to other TOC material.

5.0 out of 5 stars LONG OVERDUE BOOK, March 30, 2000
This review is from: Deming and Goldratt (Paperback)
At last a book on these two great thinkers. The combination of the Deming system and the Goldratt TOC process is perfect for keeping a management balance. This is a HOW TO DO IT BOOK not another FEEL GOOD book of slogans. Read it, think about and read it again. Give it to your people to read. This is the real thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ten Steps to a World Class Company, March 29, 2000
This review is from: Deming and Goldratt (Paperback)
The best combination of the priciples of Dr.Deming and Dr.Goldratt.For the first time ideas of, two of the greatest management minds of this century has been combined and presented in a "read and implement" manner.

The book gives you a step by step approach to using The Theory of Constraints(ToC) and The Profound Knowledge of Dr.Deming in your company. This book is best suited for people who have read ToC and are unable to understand Deming's theory or are just starting to learn about the theory.

Overall a good book.
