5.0 out of 5 stars Socialists & Elves or Technlogy vs. Magic, October 24, 1998
I found this third book of Ms. Edghill of 'The Twelve Treasures' to be the best of the lot. Picking up " The Sword of Maidens Tears" on a whim, I found myself engrossed with the story. Being one of those people that is on that fine line between fantasy and science fiction, I think that all of the 12 treasures books she has found an execent mid-point of the two. She includes the fans, and the whole world that they create with conventions, with some very good writing. (Not to mention a great story). Will Fox create the revolution he hopes for among men? Will Holly become the Warrior that we all know she is? What about Nic Brightlaw? What about the Dragon/ Wizard? Don't leave us hanging.....

4.0 out of 5 stars overall enthusiastic, March 30, 1999
Overall, a very enjoyable read. Although, the plot did slow down at points, and I had to stop myself from peeking ahead to see what was coming up, it didn't detract from the overall story.

Be forewarned however, this novel does NOT stand on its own. You're left without a true ending!!! Very frustrating!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story
This is my favorite book in the series. The elements used in it are spectacular, and who doesn't love the concept of a real elf at a sci-fi convention? Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars good, but not alone
You can't read just one of the first three alone, but there is a tremendous amount of complete sections repeated over and over again in books two and then three. Read more
