4.0 out of 5 stars A Cowboy Yarn, October 30, 2007
This review is from: We Band of Brothers (Paperback)
A Texas boy, the author writes of his WWII experiences like you would imagine a cowboy sittin' around the campfire telling a yarn. Very personable, interesting and easy on the ear. It is hard to believe a guy could recall long ago conversations of even ancillary events with such precision but it makes the book highly entertaining and does not detract from the essential truth of his experience. The book almost puts you in the seat of the B-25 in combat or on the cot in a Pacific tent.
