4.0 out of 5 stars Airborne Specialists only, July 2, 2000
By Maikel Weyers ('s-Hertogenbosch, Noord-Brabant Netherlands) - See all my reviews
Airborne Operations in World War Two is most likely to be a specialists book only. Written by the USAF department for historical studies, you will find a enormous ammount of data and statistics in this book. This makes it look more like a scientific paper than a book. Coming from the USAF makes the information of non US units limited. But then again all large airborne assaults from WWII are in it: Normandy, Market Garden and the Rhine crossing. If you are looking for detail on American airborne operations, this is your book. If you are looking for the stories look further.
