Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
According to Taoists, all energy (chi) is interconnected--it is the subtle interplay between individual energies, which the ancient Chinese observed in nature led to the development of the art of placement (feng shui). By putting homes, burial grounds, dining rooms, or furniture in the correct spot in relation to other environmental components, such as hills, streams, doorways, or even mirrors, harmonious energies result, thereby creating peaceful, healthy, and prosperous lives for those existing in the energy field of a given place. With this easy-to-understand introduction, the Western reader can quickly adopt and adapt ancient principles relating to magnetism, the four directions, the harmony of opposites (yin and yang), the five elements, color, and light as they relate to space and place to transform their lives. Energy flows--how and where it flows is up to the feng shui practitioner. --P. Randall Cohan

5.0 out of 5 stars Feng Shui Made Easy (and Fun)!, February 5, 2000
By A Customer
An exceptional book. Clearly written, inspirational, and a joy to read. Other books on feng shui have left me disheartened, fumbling with a compass and feeling my fate was hopelessly doomed by the layout of my home. However, within minutes of picking up this book, I was already delightfully making little changes here and there. By the time I was finished, my apartment was transformed! The I Ching summary at the end of the book adds a generous bonus to this already invaluable feng shui manual.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wise, insightful, yet practical., August 5, 2000
By A Customer
This is the only book that explains the wisdom and spirituality of Feng Shui in a way that is practical. I read it cover to cover in one sitting because it reads as exciting as a mystery. It was fun to picture in my mind how to apply the info to my own home as I read. Two thumbs up and six stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars A "must" for all students and practitioners of Feng Shui., March 4, 2000
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
Ancient Taoists developed feng shui from an understanding of universal energies, and this guide traces its history and how its knowledge has evolved in conjunction with basic Taoist beliefs. More than just a 'how to' guide, this examines the spiritual foundations of feng shui concepts.
