Fifty botanical postcards, handsomely boxed, feature details of illustrations from Phytanthoza Iconographia by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann (1683–1741). This work was a remarkable pre-Linnaean attempt to classify the plant kingdom and one of the first botanical works to use color printing. A number of different artists produced the more than 1,000 illustrations, including the renowned Georg Dionysius Ehret. 50 postcards (2 each of 25 images), box with drawer, postcards measure 6" x 4¼", box measures 6 ¼" x 4 ⅝" x 1½"
